Privacy Policy

Siam Aura is a Thai astrology and mindfulness app operated by Liang Meng Kok ("we", "us"), who is the data user responsible for the information described here. This policy explains what information the app uses, where it goes, and the choices you have. In short: there are no accounts, no ads, and we do not sell your data. We handle personal data in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and, for users in Singapore, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.

1. What stays on your phone

The following is stored only on your device and is removed when you delete the app:

• Your profile: name, birth date, birth time, city, language, and optional life details (such as work status and occupation).
• Your Oracle journal (lots you drew, notes, and whether they came true), Mind Purification targets and check-ins, tutorial progress and app settings.
• Reminder schedules. Reminders are local notifications created on your device; we do not send push notifications from a server.

2. What is sent to our servers

To write a reading, the app sends the details needed for that reading to our server, which runs on Cloudflare:

• Birth date and time, city, and any optional details you entered (name, gender, work status, occupation), and for compatibility or family readings the other person's birth details.
• If you turn on calendar sync in Settings, only the number of events in your calendar today. Event titles, times, places and attendees never leave your phone.

We compute your chart on our server and keep generated readings in a short-lived cache (up to 30 days) so repeat requests are fast. Cache entries are keyed by a one-way hash of the request, and we do not keep a profile, account or history for you.

3. Photos

If you use Face & Palm reading or the photo "vibe" read in Love Compatibility, the photo you choose is sent over an encrypted connection to be analysed by an AI model. The app asks for your explicit consent before it does this, and the analysis is for entertainment: it is not used to identify anyone. We do not store photos or write them to logs, and the app does not send photo location (EXIF) data. Please only upload photos of people who have agreed to it, and do not upload photos of public figures or of children.

4. Service providers who process data for us

• OpenAI — writes the reading text. It receives chart facts and the optional details above (for example name and occupation) and, for photo features, the photo. See OpenAI's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — hosts our API, short-lived cache and anonymous usage counts.
• WeatherAPI.com — receives your city name to add today's weather to your reading.
• FreeHoroscopeAPI — receives only a Western zodiac sign (not tied to you) to add mood to your reading.
• ZenQuotes — a daily quote is fetched by our server; no user data is sent.
• RevenueCat and Apple — handle subscriptions. Apple processes your payment; we never see your card details. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase status so we can unlock VIP.

5. Anonymous usage statistics

The app counts which screens and features are used, so we can improve it. Each install uses a random identifier that is not linked to your name, birth details, device identifiers or advertising ID. You can turn this off in Settings at any time. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

6. Transfers outside your country

Our service providers (for example OpenAI and Cloudflare) process data on servers in several countries, including the United States, so your information may leave Malaysia or Singapore. We send only what is needed for the feature you use and rely on those providers' security and privacy commitments to protect it.

7. How long we keep data

Data on your phone stays until you delete it or the app. Cached readings expire automatically within 30 days. Anonymous usage counts are kept for a limited period and contain no personal details. Because we do not hold accounts, we generally cannot look up or identify your data on our servers.

8. Your choices and rights

• Delete the app to remove all data stored on your phone.
• Edit or remove your details any time in Settings.
• Turn off reminders, calendar sync and analytics in Settings, or in iOS Settings for notifications, calendar and photos.
• Under Malaysia's and Singapore's data protection laws, and similar laws elsewhere (such as the GDPR or Thailand's PDPA), you may have the right to access and correct your personal data, withdraw consent, or ask us to stop using it. Email us and we will help.

9. Children

Siam Aura is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Not advice

Readings are generated for reflection and entertainment. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
